Fanm kapab! Women can!

The Problem: Art Creation Foundation for Children, an arts program in Jacmel, Haiti, recognized that its young women were not self-selecting into leadership positions.

The Response: In partnership with Jasper House Haiti and Art Creation Foundation for Children, I designed and coordinated a young women's empowerment seminar called Fanm kapab! (Women Can!). Local teenage girls and young women from all over Jacmel attended this day long seminar featuring themes of boldness, leadership and self-esteem. This event invited women in positions of power in the community to speak about their journeys into leadership.
