Fanm Kapab! (Women Can!)

Designed in partnership with Art Creation Foundation for Children and Jasper House Haiti

Fanm Kapab! was a one-day empowerment seminar created to support young women in Jacmel, Haiti, in building confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of possibility. The project emerged in response to a leadership gap identified by the Art Creation Foundation for Children, which noted that young women in its arts programming were not self-selecting into leadership roles.

In collaboration with local partners, the seminar brought together teenage girls and young women from across Jacmel for a day of dialogue, storytelling, and skill-building focused on:

Community leaders shared their personal journeys and challenges, offering tangible models of what it means to lead with integrity and vision. The event created a space for young women to see themselves as capable of shaping not only their own futures but also the future of their communities.

Fanm Kapab! affirmed the leadership potential of young women and provided tools to help them step into their power—with creativity, confidence, and solidarity.
